Samuel has trained many accountants and auditors especially in areas on ethics and practitioners conflict of interest. He is expert on international tax practices.

A Bit About Samuel Acquaye

Mr. Acquaye is a Partner of PMCT Accountants & Consultants, Ghana.  He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.  Mr. Acquaye has post qualification experience spanning over thirty five (35) years.  His experience includes auditing, accountancy and consultancy.

He was Director of Finance of Presbyterian Press Limited, a medium size company in Ghana, in the printing industry. He developed Accounting manual and Internal Audit manual for the Organisation. He prepared and presented periodic financial reports to Management and the Board and advised them on financial and related matters.  He ensured prudent and timely utilization of company resources and maintenance of effective control systems.

Mr. Acquaye has also been the Deputy Managing Director of State Enterprise Audit Corporation having risen from the position of Audit Manager.  He supervised and monitored statutory audit of portfolio of state owned enterprises and undertook managerial as well as administrative matters. He also participated in consultancy services undertaken by the Organisation.  He was a member of a team that prepared a Ten Year Strategic Plan for the Organisation for the first time in its history.

Mr. Acquaye worked in public practice with Messrs Basil Howells & Company, a practising firm of Accountants, in London, United Kingdom.  His assignments covered, among others, preparing financial statements, performing auditing and advising on financial and taxation matters and control systems of client organisations.  

​

In his social life, Mr. Acquaye is currently Head of Audit Team of Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Madina District. The Team is in charge of auditing the accounts of congregations in the District for compliance with the Church’s regulations as well as accepted accounting principles.  His favourite pastime is current affairs.
